LEECH THERAPY

Leech therapy is a complementary treatment method that has been used in animal physiotherapy and veterinary medicine for many years. Medical leeches are specifically applied to selected areas, where they release various bioactive substances through their saliva.

In animal physiotherapy, leech therapy can be used for inflammatory processes, chronic musculoskeletal problems, and painful joint changes, among other things. The application always follows individual indications and considers the animal's overall condition.

The goal of the treatment is to modulate inflammatory reactions, relieve pain, and support blood circulation in the affected area. Leech therapy is generally not used as a sole measure but is integrated into a holistic physiotherapeutic treatment concept.
