Leech therapy
Leech therapy is a complementary treatment method that has been used in animal physiotherapy and veterinary medicine for many years. Medical leeches are specifically placed on selected areas, where they release various bioactive substances through their saliva.
In animal physiotherapy, leech therapy can be used, among other things, for inflammatory processes, chronic musculoskeletal disorders, and painful joint changes. The application is always based on individual indication and considering the animal's overall condition.
The aim of the treatment is to modulate inflammatory reactions, relieve pain, and support blood circulation in the affected area. Leech therapy is generally not used as a sole measure but is integrated into a holistic physiotherapeutic treatment concept.
