In my physiotherapy work, I use a form of electrotherapy that combines various types of currents. The aim is to stimulate muscles and nerves as physiologically and deeply as possible, without unnecessarily burdening the animal.

Medium-frequency alternating currents are used, which have the advantage of overcoming skin resistance more easily and thus reaching deeper muscle and tissue structures. This medium-frequency current form is overlaid with low-frequency impulses that specifically support neuromuscular control.

This combination makes it possible to achieve both activating and regulating effects. Depending on the setting, the impulses can promote muscular activity, support coordination between nerves and muscles, or be used to regulate muscle tone if necessary. The treatment is individually adapted to the findings and the resilience of the respective animal.

Electrotherapy is generally used in addition to active exercises and manual physiotherapeutic techniques and is part of a holistic treatment concept.
