Gua Sha Therapy
Gua Sha therapy is a manual treatment method used in animal physiotherapy for physiological applications. Using special tools, tissue along anatomical structures is specifically stimulated to positively influence muscles, fascia, and blood circulation.
In my work, I use Gua Sha particularly for muscular tension, restricted movement, and functional complaints of the musculoskeletal system. The treatment is suitable for dogs and cats and is individually adapted to the respective findings.
The goal of the therapy is to reduce tension, promote tissue circulation, and support physiological movement patterns. I often combine Gua Sha with other manual physiotherapeutic techniques such as massage, trigger point treatment, fascia treatment, or lymphatic drainage and integrate it into a holistic treatment concept.
